Hello, dog lovers! Well, it’s nearly the weekend. Some weeks seem to slog, and go by way too sloooow. The kind where you think, “Is it really only Tuesday?!” Other times, the days are a blur, and before you know it it’s finally time to enjoy the weekend and sleep in. This week went by pretty fast for me…because it’s MY BIRTHDAY WEEK! My actual birthday was on Tuesday, but in my family we celebrate the WHOLE 7 DAYS. That’s right! Days of celebration. You get to choose what you want to do, without anyone complaining. It’s the best. Everyone should have a week, at least once a year, where it’s all about them. However, I’m going to give some of my celebration to you, my awesome dog-loving readers! I am offering a fun birthday GIVEAWAY! WOOHOO! I can hear you cheering now, I swear. You could win one of…

It’s that time of year! In just two weeks, you’ll be sitting around the table, eating delicious food, enjoying time with friends and family, and being thankful for all your blessings. Then, it’ll be December, and we’ll be frantically trying to find that perfect gift for Mom, or your cousin, or the secret Santa at work. And if you’re like me, you’ll be finding gifts for the dog. Yes, they have no concept of what Christmas is, or why we decorate a tree inside the house (“Why is there a tree in my house? I pee on those!”), but they deserve a little something too. Because they’re part of the family, and love toys just as much as your kids do. So, to start off the gift giving season (it’s never too early!), here are things Gant would love for relaxing after a long day at the dog park. Maybe…

We all love to give back, but sometimes, we don’t have the time to volunteer. Life gets so busy. Before I moved to Connecticut, I was involved with a wonderful dog rescue. They had events every weekend, and there was always a need for more volunteers. Unfortunately, I couldn’t volunteer very often, and I definitely felt guilty. While giving your time is incredibly appreciated, organizations like these need money! Funds to help with vet checks, medical bills, food, and upkeep of their facilities. Since we enjoy spending money on our furry family members (and on ourselves!), why not buy products that give something back? Fortunately, there are a ton of options. So now you’ll have an even better excuse to use that credit card. Get matching charms for you and your favorite pooch. Part of the proceeds to go animal shelters in Israel. As you have read, there are so…

German Shepherds are one of those breeds that I like to admire from far away. Their pointy ears, black and brown coloring, and lustrous fur make them truly beautiful.  While I would love to have one, they need a lot of training, socializing, and tons of exercise, which I could not offer. They are also incredibly smart, as we know, since we see them as police dogs or drug detectors. I may not be able to have a beautiful German Shepherd by my side, but I can admire all the unique gifts made just for lovers of this breed. Here are just a few of the many cool gift ideas for your German Shepherd-loving friend, family member, co-worker, whatever! German Shepherd Gold Necklace: Swap your German Shepherd t-shirt with this simply stated necklace. A subtle way to show your love without looking like a crazy dog lady. Purchase here. $20…

Hello again! Welcome back to our monthly feature of amazing gifts for dog lovers! This month I’ll be featuring one of the more popular breeds, the French Bulldog, or as most people call them, the Frenchie. Their flat noses, wrinkly jowls, expressive eyes, and rounded ears melt our hearts. They are known to be social, friendly, affectionate, and perfect for living in smaller spaces. A lot of people get them confused with the Boston Terrier, as they are very similar. However, they tend to be shorter, have wider faces, and a more variety of fur patterns. Here are 8 great gifts that will sure to delight the  Frenchie lover in your life. Pardon My French Doormat. Click here to order. From Etsy. The perfect way to greet visitors! $44.00 2.  White French Bulldog earrings. Click here to order. From Doodleworm on Etsy. A fashion statement that goes with any outfit. $12.00…

A couple of weeks ago, I was at the vet (my dog had an ear infection, but he’s fine!), waiting for my appointment, and I took a few minutes to observe the different dogs and their owners, anxiously looking for their names to be called.  There was a woman who had a tiny Yorkie, telling me he was suffering from epilepsy, and this was their weekly visit; two older Beagles were getting weighed; a beautiful Husky was curiously sniffing the dog food in the display shelves; and a sweet little Frenchie was there for an annual checkup. While it is obvious that there are a lot of devoted dog lovers out there, it was really apparent at the Vet. All of us were making sure our furry family members got the best treatment possible. We would do anything for them. In honor of the devoted dog owners, each month I…
