Lately, it seems I listen to a lot more podcasts. I couldn’t tell you the top 10 hits on Spotify, but if you have an hour, I’ll talk your ear off about my favorite shows. I love listening them when walking my dog. The stress of the day fades away as I listen to topics ranging from self-help to witty pop culture commentary to crazy murder stories and so much more! Today, I’m going to list some great podcasts for just about every dog walker. No matter your interest, there is something out there for you! I will have many more podcasts to list, so this is PART I of my favorite dog-walking podcasts! For the…One who is always trying improve themselves: BY THE BOOK PODCAST, with Jolenta Greenberg and Kristin MeinzerEach week, these good friends try a different self-help book, follow it to the letter for 2 weeks straight, and decide at the end…

Well, it’s already January 10th, 2019. Can you believe it?! I am sure everyone will be saying that for the next week or two, but I really can’t believe it’s a new year. The first half of 2018 was a time for figuring out our next direction. My husband and I had been living in Connecticut for 8 years at that point, where we lived the “boarding school life”, as they call it, where he was teaching History and Philosophy. A year prior to that, we had been discussing new opportunities. He had advanced as far as he could in that position, and it was time to find out what else was out there. After discussing the top locations we would move to (East Coast – Massachusetts/Maine/other parts of Connecticut or West Coast- Oregon/Washington/California), it was time to job search. Because my job is flexible, we worked on finding the…

Phew! I’m tired. Put to me to bed. The tree is packed away, ornaments are back in their boxes, Christmas lights returned (tangled, of course) to the garage, and Hallmark Channel goes back to their original programming. I don’t know about you, but after a week of eating too much, consuming copious amounts of wine, and feeling the dread of looking at credit card bills after all that gift giving, I’m exhausted. Now only 11 more months to go until Christmas! Woohoo…or not… Now that it’s 2019, I’m also making a New Year’s resolution to stop making resolutions. Right before New Year’s Eve, I always get this shot of motivation, like I’m ready to run a marathon. I get my planner out and make all these to-do lists, like I’m actually going to accomplish all of these in 48 hours. Then, inevitably, I only get two done, feel guilty about…

Can you believe Christmas is only 12 DAYS AWAY?! *Runs around in panic* I STILL haven’t done all my shopping, and I really need to get going if I want these gifts delivered in time for Christmas.  Hopefully, you’re way ahead of the game, and not me looking at every holiday gift guide on Buzzfeed. I also try to shop small businesses on Etsy. Being an artist myself, I know how exciting it is to get a sale. However, a lot of these shops close for the holidays, as it takes a long time to get those orders completed.  So, here is a great last-minute gift guide, specifically for your dog-loving parents. And, I checked the shipping dates, so you still have time to order. But hurry! Don’t be those shoppers who run to the overcrowded Target to find something…anything! Even if it’s on the clearance shelf. Get them something…

When I worked in a corporate office, one of the things I looked forward to was Junk Food Friday. After a long week, about 10 of us would head to some of our favorite local places for lunch. It was a time to get out of the office, make jokes, and get to know each other a little better. Through these lunches, I met another coworker who was about the same age as me. We instantly bonded, and would always find time to converse at work, not caring if we had huge deadlines looming ahead. Additionally, we discovered that we lived only 15 minutes from each other, so a few times a week, we would carpool. It definitely made morning commutes much easier! So in honor of that coworker who has become your work BFF, the one that makes those long days bearable, where you’ve bonded over the love of…

Taking today off to enjoy this day with family and friends. I hope you and yours have a wonderful day.  I am so thankful to all of my readers, customers, and everyone who takes the time to engage with me and my little business.  It’s because of you I get to do what I love.  xoxo,  Lindsay, Eric, and Gant

I don’t know about you, but nearly every corporate office I worked at had a Secret Santa around the holidays. You pick a name, hoping it was someone you knew (or at least liked), and now you have to get something pretty cool, or at least semi-thoughtful for the under $20 budget your boss probably came up with. If you’re lucky, maybe you picked someone you really know, and you know you’ll get them a gift that will put a smile on their face, or at least appreciate the sentiment. Maybe not, and you got someone you may resent, or really have no idea what they do (are they in Marketing?), so this will be difficult. But then, you find out they’re totally into dogs, just like you! Perhaps you discover this when you “casually” walk by their desk, and see a photo of their super adorable Goldendoodle. Or you’re…

It’s that time of year! In just two weeks, you’ll be sitting around the table, eating delicious food, enjoying time with friends and family, and being thankful for all your blessings. Then, it’ll be December, and we’ll be frantically trying to find that perfect gift for Mom, or your cousin, or the secret Santa at work. And if you’re like me, you’ll be finding gifts for the dog. Yes, they have no concept of what Christmas is, or why we decorate a tree inside the house (“Why is there a tree in my house? I pee on those!”), but they deserve a little something too. Because they’re part of the family, and love toys just as much as your kids do. So, to start off the gift giving season (it’s never too early!), here are things Gant would love for relaxing after a long day at the dog park. Maybe…
